Hedge trimmer recommendation

Looking to upgrade my hedge trimmer for around the house. I have a 22 inch electric trimmer that is just ok. It's a bit of a pain to reach the back of the bushes.
Thinking about upgrading to a trimmer that would attach to my gas Echo weed eater LINK
Does anyone have any experience with this type of trimmer? Will it be a significant upgrade over the electric? I would like to be able to cut 1/2" to 3/4" with ease

I use one for large specimen plants, such as ligustrum, beds of thorny plants, like floribunda roses, and on Carolina jasmine vines I have growing on my pool fence. It is nice to not have an electric cord to worry about. I find the attachment too awkward and heavy for small hedge plantings.
