It was a full list of members of Congress who were born outside the US, in response to another poster's question.

It didn't say immigrant or born overseas to Americans. Nor did it comment on the merits of any individual member.

My bet would be many of the women probably married Americans and changed their surnames.

I took a look. More than a couple are military kids. Hard to shoot that down, IMHO.

Isn’t it amazing? All the posts by lefties in this thread demonstrate really poor reading comprehension. Maybe that’s why they think certain tweets are racist when they’re clearly not.

Btw, if you were a conservative, a little mistake like that could get you banned from certain other political sites. Glad Chicken isn’t like that though.

I am on topic, and why are you lying?

Read the OP again. This topic is about foreign-born members of Congress who are not happy living in the USA and constantly complain about the country. Your post is about Dan Crenshaw who does not apply here.

Founders really should have added natural born clause for ALL federal offices, not just President.

You brought up Dan Crenshaw, who was not relevant to the description prescribed in OP. And now, instead of acknowledging that, you try to shift into an argument about whether Omar & pals are happy in the US or not.

But if you really want to have that debate, start your education here:

quote:

In Omar’s version, America wasn’t the bighearted country that saved her from a brutal war and a bleak refugee camp. It wasn’t a meritocracy that helped her attend college or vaulted her into Congress. Instead, it was the country that had failed to live up to its founding ideals, a place that had disappointed her and so many immigrants, refugees and minorities like her.

“I grew up in an extremely unjust society, and the only thing that made my family excited about coming to the United States was that the United States was supposed to be the country that guaranteed justice to all,” she told the high school students. “So, I feel it necessary for me to speak about that promise that’s not kept.”

Another user asked how many Republicans and I responded. Another user said they need to go back in response to the link posting all of the elected officials.

No, that's what you are doing by speaking on their behalf and on behalf of the OP, which is low rent.

You are in no position to educate anyone on debate considering the quote you provided doesn't have her saying she hates living here or hates the United States.

I think her quote is pretty telling. There are others, just google around. One where she said she’s “ashamed” of America, one about American hypocrisy, it goes on and on. You won’t find a quote of her saying “I hate America”. But lefties don’t need a Trump quote of “I am racist” to accuse him of that, right?

Well in that case consider yourself corrected then.

So you don't know if she hates America but you spoke for her anyway.

Maybe if the President didn't say things that are racist, he probably wouldn't be accused of it. Personally I don't think President Trump is racist, but plenty of racist individuals like it when he makes racist remarks. I imagine he doesn't want to mess up a good thing like that.
