I shoot a .444 as well and curious why a .35 is better. Or would it be better in my situation? I hunt public land and my shots are typically less than 100yds. I've never missed with this gun and have never had one run more than 25yds.
My thought on the 45-70 or .35 would be to get the less expensive one and add a nice scope to it.
