This. In 2016 the flood projections (once they came) were based on rain that had already fallen, and was continuing to fall. In this case they are base on projected rainfall that hasn’t even started yet.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t be prepared - they absolutely should. But just pointing out that there’s still a chance things aren’t as bad as currently projected.

At least that’s what I’m going with, for the sake of sanity.

I gotta agree with you there. Hopefully that is worse case scenario. 41 ft will definitely panic a lot of people though.
