I never said they didn’t count. I was just pointing out that outside of a game where it was significantly easier to score TDs ( You don’t have to have a sustainable drive to reach the red zone in 7 OTs) and a meaningless bowl games against a horrid Central Florida defense, the stats don’t really tell a great story. There’s no sense in fluffing stats to overhype the kid. He’s good, but our offense was seriously lacking in scoring points.

How many weeks did we go in a row without scoring a passing TD last season? How many top QBs have similar stats?

I think that was more poor scheme and bad utilization of our WRs' individual skills. Giles never should have started and Chase should have gotten more snaps. Sullivan and Ensminger did not do our passing game any favors with simplistic route trees, slow developing plays, limited motion and keeping TE's and RBs in to block instead of quick release plays.
