My AC was having a hard time keeping up on Saturday and was running all day to keep my house at 76 degrees.
AC guy told me years ago it's tough to cool 25 deg cooler than outside temp. Of course shade and real good insulation can help

Put it this way. If it’s 95 degrees in your home, the intake air is 95 degrees and can be cooled off to 70-75 degrees. As the house cools, the lower temp intake air is being cooled even more, so eventually your AC will be putting out air in the 40’s I believe.
How efficiently it cools your home depends on a lot of other factors like size of the unit vs size of the home, insulation of the home, etc.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I know car AC’s can put out air in the low 40’s.
