One thing no one seems to understand is that fifa determines how much money is given out, it’s not anything anyone in the USA can control no matter how much they bitch and moan and protest. Just because the US women bring in more than the men doesn’t mean it’s the case anywhere else, because it isn’t. No one gives a shite about women’s soccer anywhere else in the world. The men make more because it’s the most watched and most popular sporting contest on the face of the earth. The fact that the US didn’t get in didn’t matter to anyone

You're only looking at one piece of the puzzle. The World Cup is a once every 4 year event for both the men and women. These teams play every year in different tournaments/events/matches.

The only legit arguement the women may have is the resources that the Federation puts into generating potential revenue activities. Obviously the men's team stinks, but the US Soccer Federation still spends way more money marketing and promoting the men and getting them better tv deals and such.

Im not saying that is correct, Im just providing the only legitimate debate that could be had.

The men’s team sucked the last couple years but they’ve been way better on a global scale than most people realize. It’s not 1990 anymore, or even 2000.

Straw poll. How many people watch womens matches that ARENT World Cup or Olympic matches? How many people give a shite even if it IS the World Cup or olympics? I think they’re a great team and I think they deserve all the respect in the world, but the fact of the matter is that almost no one cares, even on the biggest stages.
