I just don't understand what Eriksen's deal is. He's been my favorite player since Bale left and he arrived. He was asked about his statement about wanting a new challenge or whatever and he says he doesn't regret it.

My question is this... why is he insisting on jumping ship at the time to reap the benefits of all the hard work he has put in to help build the club? It doesn't make sense to me. I could understand if Real or Barca come knocking, and I think we would let him go. To leave Spurs for Atletico or Inter just doesn't seem to be that big of a jump to me, but I guess I'm a little biased

I think this may get ugly as he has to go in January, and it just kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth seeing my favorite player force a move when we are on the brink of something special. I really think this will diminish in the supporters eyes all the great things he's done. I guess this is modern day football.

It's an odd situation, but I'm still okay with all of his comments. (I completely understand where you're coming from though)

His passive personality won't help whatever narrative the media stir up, but the truth is the guy still acts/plays like a professional. I think he's honestly just tired of England in general, and that it's not necessarily about money and/or Spurs. If you were bored/burnt out at your job, would you stay there? At least he's been open about the situation, plus he's always stated that if a move doesn't materialize he was fine with staying at Spurs for this year.

Assuming he doesn't act like a diva for this season, I'm actually okay with him running down his contract and then moving on for a new challenge.

Maybe for the very short term, but I think he'll go down as one of the top Spurs players in the end (assuming this situation doesn't go to hell in a handbasket).
