Need recs on which is best for the price.

I see YouTube Tv is going for $50/mo

And Sling is around $40/mo for the blue and orange package combo.

Really, all I need is the ESPN lineup for watching games at home (including the SEC network). Live TV would just be a plus.

If you know of something better, feel free to share as well

TIA

Sling tv has been 100% reliable for me the past couple years.

I am a day 1 subscriber. It was rough in the beginning. The xbox app sucked and my internet wasnt fast enough.

Switched to firetv and upped internet to whatever charter second tier is, works fine.

I love Youtube TV but they really pissed me off with the rate hike. Not much reason not to switch back to cable if it gets any higher.

I’ve tried both and love YouTube. Works through my company firewall for one.

Why not just do sling orange if that's all you want?

I’ve got Vue. I like it but we are running through data like it’s water with the kids home from school. Going to have to spend the $50 upgrade for the unlimited data.

I just got Hulu. Tried them all, and felt Hulu had the most to offer. Not only do they include the live tv networks we watch (and all the locals), they include Hulu’s vast library of programming. For example, if you add a program to record, it auto populates all of the seasons and episodes in the cloud DVR.

Sling didn’t have locals.
YouTube TV didn’t have several of the networks I watch regularly (Science Channel, etc).

But you're limited on cloud storage and number of tvs viewing at same time, huge drawbacks

You can add locals to Sling TV with AirTV. Puts the locals in your Sling guide, and you don't have to pay extra every month for the channels that come in free OTA.

What devices do you have? This might be a factor as YouTubetv isn’t available yet on firetv (I think).

I’d primarily be running on my Vizio Display. There is already an app for YouTube TV, and I can chromecast Sling if need be.

Secondary devices would be various iPads and phones.

They do, but they aren't reliable at all, at least not in my experience. I've had Vue, Hulu, and now YouTube, and YouTube has been (so far) the most reliable of the three.

I tried Hulu before Youtube TV. Buffering constantly and the guide was absolutely trash back then. I know they've improved the guide but I never buffer with Youtube. It was constant on Hulu.

I’ve had DTV Now. Finally changed from them once they took off ESpn3 access.

Swapped to YouTube TV and oh my I wish I would have done it so much earlier. In two months I haven’t had a single hiccup with YouTube tv. It has worked perfect and I love it.

How do these services compare to just using WatchESPN app in terms of delay? WatchESPN has been a bit spotty (using my parents DTV), but not enough to make me pay. With the extra channels and added benefit of not having a 1 minute delay in football games, I may subscribe during CFB season.

Basically, is the delay that much better than what I have now?

Love this ! if they had a 3rd stream for no extra cost then they would be in the lead for streaming by a mile. Not once have i had a buffering Issue . Ive had them all and Hulu was the best for me. Top sports channels and best overall channels if you ask me.
