I will admit I could be wrong here, but I would have guessed that Cream of Wheat, in its most basic form, is what helped to keep the majority of non-Asian humans from starving for the last 11,000 or 12,000 years (up to, perhaps, 75 years ago, give or take).

What does this have to do with the last 25 years? Jyst because it works when you don't have any other options doesn't make it near optimal
