We use a sportsbrella for the beach. Works great for us.

I hate the beach, few hotties but lots fatasses. Then there’s sand in everything including my buttcrack.Much prefer the mountains, lots shade trees.

Man I LOVE my Sportbrella.
I've had mine for several years and I've used it on multiple beach trips and dozen of crankbaiting for crappie fishing trips and it's still going strong.
3 adults and a soft cooler can easily fit under it, and I know some kids can too. It also offers some privacy and some semblance of isolation even when on a crowded GC beach.
I 2nd jgthunt's opinion- a sportbrella is the tits.
