I've been wondering the same thing. What the hell is that? Also what will become of that whole contraption when they're done with it? Does it just stay in orbit and eventually re-enter the atmosphere and semi burn up but debris land in the ocean somewhere?

Space junk is becoming a serious problem, you can google it and get all the info you care to digest.

Consider also this launch alone put 23 satellites into low earth orbit ~700km and 1 into medium earth orbit ~6000k. There is a ton of stuff up there and it grows all the time.

ETA it is just crazy to me that in 3 hours and 35 minutes they put 23 satellites into LEO and one into MEO. I wish there was a way to retroactively have the kind of video coverage we have for these for the Apollo missions, it would be spellbinding, at least for me.
