Attaching flag mount to brick

What are you guys using to attach a flag pole mount to a brick wall? I used the Tapcon screws before and a strong storm pulled the whole mount right out of the wall.
Looking to see what else can be used that might be a little stronger to keep it in place as I don’t have any wood on the front of the house to drill in to.

you can use dry wall anchors if they're good ones but I'm surprised about the tapcon screws coming out.
Did you drill into the mortor or brick?
These will work for sure. I have these holding my TV:
masonry anchors (lowes)

Bigger tap cons with the proper drill bit or lead anchors

try adding liquid nail to the tapcons. or add it to the Pd sleeves. keep a rag handy to wipe off excess. if you don’t get excess you didn’t use enough.
also, may want to try rockite in the mortar holes

IF Tapcons can make it thru a hurricane I don't know what else you're looking for.....seriously.

quote:what he is saying is the OG tapcons were most likely installed improperly to come out. These are designed, if property installed, to shear around the brick.

Btw if you want what is used commercially, get some Hilti anchors.

I used masonry anchors but drilled into the brick, not into the mortar! I usually take the flagpole inside if I know strong storms are on the way!

Drilled mine with a larger bit, maybe 3/8, then hammered treated wood into holes and used wood screws

Red head anchors with epoxy then bolt it in.
