Take the negative battery cable off for 2 minutes and put it back on, it will reset the computer.

perfectly fine to drive. will just have worse gas mileage but not by a third. Resetting the computer will be meaningless. not too hard to change yourself, but they can be hard to get loose. Best to do while engine is warm but that also means easier to burn yourself on the exhaust pipe. spray some penetrating oil on the threads several times. It will soak in. candle wax is also a good way to loosen. Best to buy a slotted socket made for 02 sensors. Some also come with threaders.
