This is one of those LAZY hoax arguments. It is really a poor one.

I disagree.

Asking why the peak of our space program came 50 years ago, and hasn't been replicated since is a legitimate question.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing, but some MIGHT say that each year on the International Space Station, we replicate the quantity of scientific advancements made during the entirety of the Apollo Program, and thus after 20 years of ISS, we have far exceeded Apollo.

However... yea, I cannot believe it has been so damn long since we set foot on some place inspiring!

Two things:

There hasn’t been a real reason to go back to the moon. It’s expensive, but they will at some point.

For those who think we didn’t, other countries with their own space programs confirmed the landing on the moon. America would have been exposed by now if it was truly all a hoax.

Because Nixon got nervous after Appollo 13 and killed it. Mars was actually supposed to follow the moon. Nixon panicked (you mean this is dangerous!) and went to plan B: the shuttle and low Earth orbit stuff. Every thing done for Appollo and the moon practically useless after that.
