Big Cat and PFT love Coach O. And not in a sarcastic way, they just think he’s electric. As a fan of the show, and someone who was unhappy about the O hire, now I’m at a point where I fricking love Coach O and want nothing more than for him to win championships here.

Also his recruiting and good season helped too.

I feel about O like I did about Les. 2 unique and hilarious coaches that I personally don't think are good enough to run the program but are good PR faces of the program. His PMT interview was great but it doesn't change what I think about him as a coach. Hopefully we win a national championship this year so I can eat all the shite I've ever spoken about the man.

Why would any fan of LSU not want nothing more than for whoever is the coach to win championships here?

I question any persons fandom who wishes LSU loses because of a coach, and at the same time I also question any persons fandom who likes ONLY the coach.

I mean it more as an attitude shift from “we’re screwed with this guy” to “let’s ride with Coach O”

I din't like the hire when it happened. Felt like settling, which is not something a supposedly elite program does. But I will admit that O has performed better than I thought he would, especially after this last season. Everyone expected at most 7 wins. Beating Miami the way we did, Georgia....I don't know if Les could have done it the way his teams looked at the end of his tenure. And if it weren't for that 7 overtime bullshite at A&M, it would have been a 10 win regular season. Hell, O had us finish at #6 in the nation, and recruiting is looking much improved.

That’s great and I agree but what does that have to do with the thread topic?

Compared to Les, or compared to O’s first “full” class(2018)? Because if you’re comparing the recruiting now to what it was under Les, it’s about the same.

This is the youtube video they made a couple years ago. They interview Eaux and among other things he explains how he was hired by Pete Carroll. Talks about his relationship with the Rock.

Pardon My Take Coach O Interview Video Recap

Their music video where they mention Eaux and use "Coach Eaux, Down in the Bayou, Coach Eaux, Hold that Tiger" saying it in his voice.

I'm not sure who that is but I think Ed is doing a good job and I'm proud that he's running the football program. I just wish that Les had stayed in some capacity.

I'm sure that would have made LSU the only school to fire a head football coach and AD for poor job performance and then keep them on in BS jobs.

Congrats on being an AWL.

I think their love for Coach O has definitely made me like him more because it brings attention to LSU as a whole when they talk about him, which is huge considering PMT is one of, if not the most popular sports podcast in the world.
They even made a song about Louisiana as a whole a few months ago during the Will Wade fiasco-
Who cares? It’s Louisiana

So he has the win a NC fast and soon or he is chiite forever in your eyes and all the other wins mean nothing. I mean eventually if he does not win natural selection will happen...but Dannnggg! Y'all are some tough mothers in here. If you were a judge in the Wild Wild West a guy who stole chicken would have been hung by noon the next day LOL!

Les has a great run. He took over a powerhouse with two great QBs and loaded on the line of,scrimmage. I love and loved coach miles. Coach O took over a completely different situation.

Miles did not get the pathetic mean critical bullshite from the media and a small but vocal part of,the fan base. .

Orgeron is his own guy. He is a top notch coach from a couple of great coaching trees. We are lucky to have him

That's not really true. Texas "settled" on Charlie Strong. UF settled twice. First with Zook and then with Mullen (he was their third choice). Tennessee settled on Dooley, Butch and then Pruitt. Auburn settled on Chizik. Southern Cal has settled with almost every hire. Michigan got Brady Hoke.

I liked coach O even when they hired him. That doesnt mean I have to like the hire. Still to this day do not like how that was handled. But O has my full support and has been doing things exactly how he needs to in order to succeed.
