Amazing Trip Review! Loved the details and pictures. I know at least I have trouble getting my head around long trips to places like Chile or Argentina when comparing European alternatives.

I enjoy traveling south. Typically very cheap. I can get by with my Spanish and jet lag not really an issue.
I have Chile on my radar next. Santiago, Atacama desert, cross the Andes into Mendoza, the glaciers of Patagonia, etc.
