Don’t just do it after the fact. Impound them when it’s determined that they’re uninsured at a traffic stop or checkpoint. Hell, with the ability to track data these days, law enforcement should be able to go to addresses of uninsured vehicles and impound them from there.

Driving without insurance is not a felony. Plus,what you propose, it's a Constitutional violation to do something like that...4th Amendment shite and that sort of thing.....but I get your frustration.....
