ingram has proven himself to be surprisingly effective as a point guard. now, hes not a great playmaker. but if you get him out on the perimeter with the ball in one on one situations, he eats whomever is guarding him. he was in the 90+ percentile this past year in those situations. i think thats a valuable piece to pair with people like lebron or AD who will be taking doubles

anyway, i doubt theres any scenario where BI is still on the team next year if the lakers acquire AD

That's the sort of role he could work into, PG.

Last year, you had Ingram, Ball, LeBron, Rondo, etc. who were all comfortable initiating the offense. There were too many people.

If Lonzo goes and Rondo doesn't re-sign, the Lakers could let LeBron and Ingram be the two offensive initators, then just try to slot two 3 and D shooters alongside them and AD.

I'm not sure I'm as negative on BI staying, if only because I think the Lakers need a perimeter guy who can get his as LeBron ages. Otherwise, LeBron has to carry a ton of the load as he's approaching 20 years in the league.

kuz also can't play defense worth a damn although he have a great contract why would you want to build around Zion with that?
