He's not playing next year.

Why not wait a year and accept a super max next year? What is he risking since he's not going to step on court this year? Teams won't offer it next yr? Doubtful.

No, I mean teams will offer him a multi year max deal right now, with no injury language, in a gamble he recovers.

$90m+ beats $32m.
