I dont know False River Academy aint nothing to brag about. FRA has the feel of that school where all the teachers are most certainly banging a student or two. CHPCS is their best option probably

Agreed. And i was a product of it. From what i hear, it's gone downhill and they are getting desperate for people to go there.

Weird things going down in Pointe Coupee over the last decade.

- The new white Superintendent has family connections to Pointe Coupee and Avoyelles. While he can be a jerk, he's actually competent.

- The new STEM Magnet School is open and seems to be finding a lot of white students to fill their classrooms. That probably comes at the expense of FRA and Livonia. The STEM academy is actually a pretty decent school.

- False River Academy (FRA), one of the last remaining segregation academies in the country, is struggling to keep their doors open. They may limp along another year or two. It's not as good as Catholic and is not as cheap as the STEM academy. I don't know why it still exists.

- CHSPC is bursting at the seams and is about start a multi-million dollar expansion. It's historically where the "rich kids" (at least by Pointe Coupee standards) go to school. It's very average academically but seems to be growing. They've never had to try very hard to be more attractive to parents than the public schools or False River Academy. I guess they are actually trying now?

- Livonia High School is now ghetto. That started when Central High School shut down. It's gotten worse since the STEM academy attracted all of the brighter students away. It used to be "Livonia" kids, but now it's all kids in the parish that couldn't get itno STEM. They've lost a lot of their best students and faculty over the years.

- The new Audubon Bridge makes it easy for people with jobs at Cajun or in New Roads to relocate their families to Zachary or West Feliciana - both of which have historically better public schools. Pointe Coupee's population is mostly stagnant.

Maybe prior to the STEM school. The STEM school is probably the best option right now imho. CHPCS is solid, but I feel it is too costly for the education being provided. If you have the money, then it is certainly a viable option. It is better than FRA, but only marginally. FWIW, FRA has been in decline for awhile. As stated by another poster, the STEM school seems to be pulling students from both FRA and CHPCS.
