Barry bonds is the best defensive LF of all time. Someone has to be. Got lazy as he got older but still very good for the position
Manny Ramirez lol was a terrible defender
Never saw the old guys.
Alex Gordon for instance is prob the best LF of the last decade. He only played left cause he was a converted 3B, as it is the easiest position to learn

I’m enjoying the argument and I’m not saying you’re wrong. You have good points but the glove, speed, arm argument was always meant to be used as an “if everything else is equal” which is never the case.
Centerfield is harder because it’s so much ground to cover.
Right field generally requires the strongest arm on the diamond which is rare.
But the actual glove work from the left fielder is generally more demanding than the right fielder.
So I guess I can say you’ve swayed me at least somewhat to your side but I stand staunch on other points as well.
That being said it’s passed my bed time and I’m out
