Putting your best glove in LF has never ever ever been a thing lol
You’re equating best glove to best outfielder and that’s not what I’m trying to say.
All you’re looking for at left is reliability. You don’t need circus catches and you don’t need put outs. You need a strong glove that’s going to on average have more opportunities to make outs than any other outfield position.
If you want to take the phrase “best glove” and equate it to “best outfielder” then that’s fine and you’d be correct.
But the only thing that makes your typical left fielder worse than you’re typical right fielder is arm strength. Which is why Dups playing in right has always confused me.
I didn’t think it mattered much in terms of wins and losses but it confused me none the less

I’ve just never heard either. LF is where a coach will put to hide a player. It’s where Blake Dean goes or Schimpf or Kyle Schwarber or Albert Pujols
