how much longer can the fans put up with that??

For 5 years. Or less if the fans want to pay a substantial amount to no longer have to put it with it.

Serious question. What are the fans going to do? All they can do is stop showing up to the games. But even so, Mainieri is going to be paid his salary for the next 5 years. That will be the case if he his fired today OR not a single fan shows up to the Box for the next 5 seasons.

He has one of the largest yearly salaries in a low revenue sport. Be as frustrated as you want, but it doesn't make much financial sense to eat a $6 million dollar buyout right now for a program that even in it's best years only makes about $500k in profit.

LSU baseball, one of the few baseball programs nationally to turn an annual profit, made a profit of $345,536 in 2018. That’s about $200,000 less than it had in 2017.

Wouldn't this just be directly tied to postseason play or are the numbers only considering the regular season?

2017 - Hosted Regional, Super Regional, and went to CWS.

2018 - Traveled to Oregon State Regional

2019 - Hosted Regional and Super Regional
