re: Need ideas for child stair safety

Im in similar situation. We already have safety gate at top and bottom. Mine are pretty tight and no way my 3 yr old can or will be soon able to slide the button and lift the gate.

What I am going to do additionally is install a child level and size handrail under the main handrail. You can search online but the basic is using 3/4" dowels 12"-18" high. Its perfect for kid height and small hands and helps them going up and down stairs.
