I’m not a big social media guy other than TD. But many women do that on FB and instagram to show their families and close friends. My wife may only post something once a week a picture of us together or kids but it’s not to show off to some old random high school guy friend who doesn’t give any fricks, or an old coworker. It’s for her family and close friends that truly do want to see them.
Sure, not really what I'm talking about.
I mean, make no mistake, plenty of MLM women were very much attention whores on social media before the MLM. But some weren't, and even those that are make posts in a completely different style (by a script, as someone else seemed to note).
The thing I think is interesting is that while they're very scripted, they make posts constantly and they're varied, so I'm guessing they give them "themes" to use or the like rather than just truly scripted posts, but who knows.

they are designed to work the FB and Instagram algorithms so the posts get boosted or shown more, or whatever. the subject of these kinds of posts are designed to get engagement from friends and followers

These companies teach them to be aggressive. Don't take no for an answer. The more people see it, they are more likely to inquire about it, etc.
On the podcast, this one lady told a story of a friend she hadn't talked to in 4 years. She up and sent her a message asking how she was doing and how were the kids doing in school. The girl replied and the other girl's reply to her was pretty much like "Good to hear. Hey, I am so close to earning a cruise. All I need to do is sell x amount of this product. Can I depend on you to buy _________________". She never replied back to her.
But that is what they spend their time doing.
One MLM would use their model to sell people. Sell the idea that all they had to do was get 5 people under them who are all able to get 5 people under them and those people all work to get 5 under them, they could be making $1M within a year.
While I guess it's possible, if someone starts out and is able to get their five people. Those five people will likely be going after many of the same people.. Because the pool of people who will actually buy into is is a lot smaller than the people you know. So they are running press all the time.
