What was interesting about the second episode? Guy kidnaps an intern. Holds him hostage in a field. Guy talks to the ceo of the company whining he had killed his fiancé. Episode over. What was the point of all of it.
How they drug that thing out for over an hour was crazy. I never once cared if they shot him or not just to get it over with.

I don't think it was great or anything like that but it felt like the most "black mirror-y" of the 3 to me. It really held my attention for like 80% of it but it petered out and ended with a whimper which was disappointing. I prefer that one over the others though, which I can honestly say will never at any time have any desire to watch again.

This season is disappointing as frick.
It almost feels like they felt pressure to make it palatable to a more mainstream audience.
After watching the three episodes, my Netflix flipped over to the "Arkangel" episode, and then I watched "The Entire History of You". Those aren't even the most disturbing episodes, but they are shocking and disturbingly existential in comparison to Season 5. NOTHING in the new season is worthy of the Black Mirror brand so far.

Nailed it. Couldn't have said it any better.

I just finished the Miley episode.
If you add Bandersnatch in the lot, the season was good, not great.
It definitely feels like a different show and not BM, but I enjoyed it immensely.

Ashley O's album dropped yesterday. Available on all the streaming platforms. Can't wait for the deluxe edition.

Black Mirror is now just another career-vehicle for Miley Cyrus.

Well that Cyrus episode at least showed that she can't sing better than a crack whore. Seriously, what is up with her voice? They need to auto-tune her just to speak like a girl.
I had a feeling her episode would suck as soon as I saw her name being promoted. The episode had some good moments, but every time Miley tried to act, it was brutal.
I legitimately don’t understand how this chick became so popular. She is a horrible actress. She straight up is not attractive. Her singing voice is not good, which this episode clearly showed. I honestly believe she was aware of all of these things, which is why she started taking her clothes off and being controversial to stay relevant. Brilliant strategy actually.
The first episode was ok. I liked the second episode. None these episodes were top notch Black Mirror, and I thought the Miley episode was as bad as any BM episode ever.

It did have a Black Mirror feel to it, but it was set in the past, showing how close some of this stuff is to reality. I think it was the best of the three though and kept my attention.
I thought the Miley Cyrus episode had a strong Black Mirror feel to it as well, with the consciousness trapped in the robot doll... plus it poked fun at pop star idolization. It just wasn't that good of an episode though overall.
Vipers was just weird to me... so I guess the sensation of sex in the video game is better than in real life? And then the wife was okay with him virtually banging his friend on his birthday so she could go out and pick up some strange as well. Just never really got into that whole episode.
