New Orleans police over the weekend booked an 18-year-old suspected serial car burglar with a quadruple shooting in Central City last month.

Theron Glover faces four counts of aggravated battery in the shooting while also standing accused of 81 counts of simple burglary, typically associated with vehicle break-ins, according to court records.

The various simple burglaries were reported in neighborhoods such as Gentilly, the Fair Grounds and New Orleans East over the last three months. They come as year-to-date auto burglaries across New Orleans are up roughly 106 percent, from 1,359 in 2018 to 2,805 as of Monday, according to city figures.

Glover’s bond after being booked Friday and Saturday was $464,500, records show. It’s likely that amount will increase at a bond hearing Monday in the shooting case.

What a winner...

Now he gets 3 hots and a cot, courtesy of the tax payers, for majority of the remainder of his life.

What a waste.

May not have had a record before this point to catch him. Hitting random targets is a good way to stay off the radar.

He'll be out in less than 5 years.

An adult, with 81 counts of burglary and 4 counts of aggravated burglary with a gun?

I hope not. But damn, if true, that is fricked.

I bet they throw attempted murder in there.

Also, for this guy, that might be the majority of the remainder of his life.

My truck (driver side window) was broken in 4 times in a month parked next to my firehouse, uptown. I essentially worked for free four 24 hour shifts. They skipped over cash, iPhone chargers, check books..straight to the glove box, for weapons. Well, our weapons aren’t in our vehicles, let’s just say that. So I sat outside all night for a month “waiting” for these pieces of shite to return. One night a car pulled up, I was sure it was going to down. To my surprise, it did go down, except they opened fire at the house next door. Let’s just say it was the last night I “waited” outside.

Anyway, my thoughts on this kid aren’t suitable to post. Let’s just say I think he’s taken enough breaths on this earth.
