None. The release of a crappy sequel doesn’t make the original disappear.

While generally true, a sequel can frick up the lore of the original and the “after credits” of the original movie (what we as the audience think of having continued to happen).

The Predator sequels all are a good example of the former - in the original we’re given the feeling that there was only one man who could have defeated one of them and it was a brutal fight to the end that almost killed our hero, but in all of the sequels they are far more easily dispatched giving the impression that the Predators aren’t nearly as powerful.

Bloodsport 2 was a prime example of the latter - the sequel stated that Frank Dux had been killed in some non-meaningful way. That’s the exact opposite of how I would’ve imagined the character living on after the events of the original movie.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t watch the original in all its glory as a stand alone, but the sequel does indeed frick up the original if watched as a whole.
