By definition, those arent Japanese vehicles. They are Mexican vehicles.

Compare the relative build quality and reliability of a Mexican-built VW with a German-built one and perhaps you'll grasp my point.

You can make this argument in your vacuum, but I assure you that to Toyota and Nissan, those vehicles are Toyotas and Nissans. You are not paying the “built in Mexico” price, you’re paying the “it’s a Toyota” price. Understand that and maybe you’ll grasp my point.
