We all know Henry has the stuff but let’s be honest the last time we saw him against South Carolina, he didn’t look that great.

I don't think that was the case at all. Without an error he is out of the second inning with very few pitches, and no runs. Sure, he was working his way back in, but he threw hard and he threw strikes. He threw mainly fastballs, but his curve ball looked sharp the few times we saw it. If they are ready to take the handcuffs off of him this weekend, you might see a solid outing.

That aside, I think he brings a certain brilliance to BR sports talk radio.

Walker is on, he is capable of shutting down anybody,

This. People act like Walker is terrible. The last few weekends before the start against State, which he battled without having anything to keep the score at only 4-0, he was really good. Earlier in the season he shut down that same State lineup.

ASU is gonna tee off of eric walker to the same level that vandy did

maybe...just maybe guys with less velocity give them trouble. I'm hoping we made the decision after scouting. But walker may not even start the 2nd game.

Agree, but the thought of Walker missing spots/not getting calls on the black, against Arizona St is scary.

At this point of the season this goes for every pitcher. Especially facing a lineup like Arizona State. Any pitcher that goes in there and misses spots is going to be in trouble.

Then we don't touch Fontenot, Hess or Peterson in game 1

This is what we are going for.

Marceaux is ready.

Henry is probably ready but if not we have them in the pen.

This is true. But batters usually tend to miss more fastballs at 93-95 and a solid breaking ball rather than 86-88 and a change up.

I agree.

But, it reveals his strategy, IMO.

Sat is going to be Henry and (Hess or Peterson). He's going to treat the pair like an ace. I thought that would be the case had Henry pitched better in Hoover. Apparently, Mainieri saw enough to go with it.

I can live with that. But, my biggest issue is about game 3. I don't think it's debatable that Marceaux is pitching better than Walker. I don't know why you'd use up Marceaux against Stoney.

He didn't have a good outing but his stuff still looked good.

Well, if what you said above is the case, then I have no issue with Marceaux going first. We can't just blown that game off. Walker going Sunday, assuming we are 2-0, means we are playing a team in their 4th game. Not many teams have the pitching depth to still be rolling out great pitchers at that point. So, Walker should be a fine option.

The Regional pitching decisions probably factored in when each pitched pitched last week.

Pitching your #3 is not blowing off that game. shite, we are going to be depending on #3 against a really good hitting team if things go as planned.

All I'm saying is that we struggled against some weaker teams this season, so I don't have an issue with Marceaux starting, if they feel Henry is a full go for 60-75 pitches Saturday.

Hannigriff always sounds like a whiney little bitch.

He has opinions, not skills.
