How was your experience with Dr. Singer? I’m scheduled to have it done with him next month, but thinking of getting a second consultation.

I have a fairly low prescription, but enough that I need correction to drive. Im sure he does a great job they just move you so fast through there it has me a bit anxious

Also, he is recommending to NOT do bladeless, says my eyes are fine and no reason to (although we will still do wavefront), but would be happy to take my money if I elect it.

He was good. I did not do the bladeless procedure either.

I have a slight astigmatism, my vision now is something like 25/20

I'd have it done again

I did Singer, and I got the HD package which cuts the flap. Life changing and highly recommend. Whole procedure literally takes 10 minutes.

I went to him for an assessment. He's a brilliant guy.

I'm like you, (near-sighted), I've no astigmatism, and I have wonderful close & medium vision. I have 20/35-ish far vision so I could drive without corrective lenses but shouldn't and don't.

He first wanted to see if I could live with having one eye done to 20/20 and leave the other alone. The eye that was done to would lose it's present good close-up vision, according to him.

So that would leave me with one eye doing the close-up work & the other doing the distance work.

I always ask "what would you do if you were me?" in these type situations. His answer to me was that he would consider leaving both eyes alone and still going with corrective lenses/contacts as I use my eyes so much in the close & medium ranges.

I appreciated his candor, that was last Fall, and I'm still glad I did nothing.
