Spider Rigging Electronics Advice

Good afternoon Outdoor Colleagues:
As you can see by my post history, I read a whole lot more than I post. Thanks to you, and the new garden board I have one of the better looking yards in Magnolia – Better Living Through Chemistry.
I have some questions that involves about two weeks of research. I want to get into Spider Rigging/trolling for crappie/white perch. I have a 16/48 War Eagle with a front deck. I will fish mostly shallow (30ft max depth lakes). I am currently leaning toward a Minn Kota Terrova, I-Pilot 55 with a 45 inch shaft. The features I’m looking for include: GPS, Tracking, Spot Lock, Link, Bluetooth – not the universal transducer.
The sounder I’m exploring is the HB Helix 7 G3 with DI, SI, Chirp, Link, Bluetooth, Maps. What am I leaving out that you believe should be included? Another question is where do you mount the transducer? If you put it on the troll motor, I’ve read the point of reference for side imaging is problematic. I’ve also read that with side imaging, 30ish feet is your max for good clarity, if you mount it on the back of the boat you “lose” 15 feet of forward view because of the length of the boat.
Guys, I apologize for the wall of text, but those that spider rig understand what I’m asking and hopefully can help guide me toward the correct decision/s as I prepare to spend about $3000.00 on electronics.
