It's like a golfer guy I know who puts his sunglasses facing backwards on his cap when he isn't using them. It's absurd, because most people put it over the bill of their cap, but this guy puts it on the back because he's copying pro golfers on TV - but they do it to avoid covering up their primary logo on the front of their cap, which pays them a ton of money.

So my buddy looks like a moron for doing it that way, but it's the same as Josh Smith. Just copying the professionals on TV, whether it makes any sense or not.

That's my point.

ETA: same for the baseball player who step out of the box and constantly adjusts their batting glove, even when they don't swing the bat. They do that only because pro players do it - for no good reason.

I just don't like copycats, in any phase of life.
