You must be new to watching CPM's Team. Every year he let's a batter or two in the lineup swing at 3-0. At times I recall these getting the same greenlight: Rhymes, Bregman, Kramer. It's because he's hot as frick right now and it's what CPM does because 3-0 is almost always a meatball for an easy hit.
Let me know if Reid ever swings at a 3-0.

They can't understand that strategies change with different players and different levels of the game

They were always told 3-0 is a no go from 10yrs old, and don't see the difference

A walk or out after 3-0 is much more likely than a hit with an avg little league hitter against an avg little league pitcher. That is the correct call

A really good D1 or MLB hitter can swing 3-0 if he gets the pitch he's looking for and the manager trusts him enough to allow
