re: GRRM already walking back on his comments regarding the show's ending (CNN article)

How is this 'walking back'? It's long been the understanding that D&D were given the ending bullet points and wrote their own story to get there. Come Dream of Spring Bran may be king, Dany may die at the hands of Jon, and Tyrion may be the Hand, but the journey will be different enough.
