Are you sure the wall is ruled over by the north? Seems like a lot of people were sent to the wall from the south if I recall correctly. I thought it was an independent entity.

When the North was part of the Seven Kingdoms, they sent criminals to the Wall all the time to serve out their sentences in the Night's Watch. The North is no longer part of the Seven Kingdoms. Why should Sansa honor this arrangement?

But seeing as it's the Northern border of the North, which is now independent, it's a seriously iffy question.
Does the North, which apparently is so resentful of the rest that they refuse to kneel even when one of their own sits on the throne, allow the 6 Kingdoms to maintain control of their Northern border?
And there's no further point to the Wall anyway. It's been breached, the Night King is gone, and the Free Folk are no longer considered enemies.
