This narrative of “an average qb can win championships with our talent” has grown tiresome.

We’ve had average qbs with Lee, Etling and Burrow last year and none of them won the national championship.

To get it done these days you need elite qb play and elite defense. I think we stand a shot to have that this year and I hope I’m right.

Exactly. Look at the last three QBs to win NC. Lawrence, Tua, and Watson. All elite.

Jarret Lee And Danny Etling were not average QBs. They were below average low,ceiling SEC QBs. Burrow is much better than those guys.

If Burrow played behind the line the Lee had we would be more assured of a playoff spot

We need to go out and get an elite QB then.

Yeah, guys less than elite may turn into elite, but the easiest way to do this is get the elite guy in the first place.
