Sure. It would probably be easy to get away with milder if the only motive is just to kill someone.

Pick a random person with absolutely zero connection to you and plan it properly, it would be easy to get away with.

You’d have to be a sick frick to do it though

Agreed. The victim being truly random would make it much easier.

Problem with that is that you won't stop at just 1. That's the serial killer MO. You'll keep going until you make a mistake somewhere and itll unravel. I think it was Bundy that said after you do it so many times, you start to forget where you left the crowbar.
