Maybe
I can say that there is a huge problem, having been on Diego Garcia, which is literally in the middle of the IO, we had rounds of beach clean up, and there was literally mounds of shite. The Royal Navy would send in a floating garage truck and haul it off somewhere to incinerate. Thirty years ago.

points to the exponential increase of global plastic polluting the world’s oceans

Is that bad?? Seems if so much of the plastic naturally grovinates to the Indian Ocean and that island, thats where it belongs. Natural process...natural destination.

John was supposedly an environmentalist. If your suspicions are true, a lot of fans will be let down.

I live near a Louisiana coastline, and when I visit the beach, the amount of litter trapped in the dunes is incredible.
A lot of that crap isn't local, either. That's coming down the entire Mississippi valley, and landing on our shores. It's a lot.

Denver's last mortal act was to be a litter bug.

Recycling: paying third world countries to dump your junk in their landfills so you can feel good about not dumping it in yours.

That sucks. It belongs in the Indian Ocean.

Yeah...I was somewhat disappointed by that. He was probably high and couldn't understand his actions.

I seriously want to know who counted those 414 million pieces of plastic?
Were those itty bitty pieces in the picture part of the total?

9,757 miles from Los Angeles. Holy shite it’s remarkable that our garbage makes it all the way over there.

Apparently, those assholes in Picayune and Bogalusa are fricking up the Pearl River with their plastic shite way more than I realized!

Who the hell counted 414,000,000 pieces of plastic?

Thats where it belongs. It's a natural process. It's like salmon fighting their way upstream to spawn.
Trying to prevent it would be an act against nature.

I have solar panels and net metering. Power company owes me $2000+. We went solar due to $0.50/kwh. Secondary concern was carbon footprint.
Have not bought water in unit dose plastic bottle in years.
What have you done?

It's Jackson doing most of the dirty work.

All the recycling trash being picked up on Us (paid for by Federal Government grants and subsidies to stay in business) and dumped in the ocean instead of actually being recycled.

No, you low IQ piece of zhit, it's just that Republicans are ruled by logic and common sense and lower-sapiens like Democrats are fond of thinking with their vaginas and proposing restrictions instead of actual solutions.....
