What's a good brand for a cranking battery in case this one is dead?

Newer 12V car batteries don’t need water added anymore. The batteries are designed to be maintenance free.

Get a premium battery at a local auto parts store as it’ll have the longest free replacement warranty and the highest cold cranking amps. It doesn’t really matter which one, although I’m partial to O’Reilly.

Last time I needed a cranking battery, Sams had $20 off. Most batteries are either East Penn or Johnson Controls made. I want to say the Sams was an East Penn. Works great
