What are some moments you can think of that defined past presidential campaigns for better or worse? The moments that may not have necessarily won or lost the election but were among the high and low points.

A couple off the top of my head: Dukakis in the tank in '88 and Clinton addressing the lady about the economy at a town hall debate in '92.

Clinton paraphrased - getting a blow job is not having a sexual relationship.

The Moore speech abount Trump. I ignore Moore most of the time, but that was one hell of a speech. :)

He said that in 1988, and won.

He lost in 1992.

W in the 2000 debates: Gore asked W a challenging question and then as W began to answer Gore slowly walked up on him, and kinda got in his personal space. W straight up checked him. He stopped speaking, turned toward him, looked him up and down, and made Gore back up. And coincidentally the answer to the challenging question was “because I can actually get it done” and the checking of Gore at that same moment really cemented his answer.

Howard Dean’s yell in 2004.

That one moment destroyed his political career.

2004 - Swift Boat Vets coming out against Kerry. Osama Bin Laden releases video days before the election.

2000 - Bush would’ve won a little more comfortably if the DUI story doesn’t drop the Friday before the election.

2012 - Hurricane Sandy takes the air out of Romney’s debate-momentum

2016 - Comey letter gives Trump a last second opening

Democrats, especially Obama, laughing at Romney for bringing up issues with Russia.

Damn hypocrites.

From the time Trump came down the escalator I was 100% behind him but once he didn’t apologize for “I prefer heroes who weren’t captured” I knew he had a chance.

And that's why he lost in '92 because he failed to uphold his promise of '88.
