Ummm... haven’t they been attacking us for decades through proxy actors? Iran has been exporting terror since the muslims took over, pretty much. No?

Iran and their IRGC have targeted and killed our troops in the past with IED's. I believe the IRGC is now classified as a terrorist organization. They're an Iranian state organization. Throw in their terrorist proxies like Hezbollah and you have a legitimate threat backed by the capabilities of Iran.
