I always find it interesting how personally Louisiana people take the topic of food. Like the thought that other places have food that might be better is not only ridiculous, it’s offensive.

The only time we hear that is on here though. I'm a north La guy but overall in La we probably have the big head since everywhere we go people comment how good the food is. As my thread I started the other day about New Orleans we were just there. There were people from Germany there we ran into and they come to NO once a year specifically for the food.

Anytime I go outside of La or no telling how many people that I've run into here from out of state I get so many comments how much better the food is here whether they are speaking of south La or north La, it's almost tiresome to listen to. That's not my words, that's the shite ton of people who I meet irl telling me that. The only time I hear knocks on La cuisine is literally on Tigerdroppings.

ETA: To add, yes I do believe other areas have much better varieties they may excel at as I've already stated earlier. You go to NY or LA and I'm sure you can get all kinds of great food that most of us in La have never even heard of.
