Guys, I hate to be a jerk, but.... Just because someone played the game (and played it well) doesn't mean they can coach at a high level. Coaching requires a lot of skills. I've personally witnessed dozens of Olympians/National level athletes try to coach and flame out left and right. Coaching is an art. Motivation is part of that art. But there are a ton of other skills coaches must master to be effective. I've not played a lot of baseball, and I'm sure there a ton of things about a swing that takes a lot of expertise to master, especially when you are trying to correct/make changes to it. Just plugging someone in (because they were good) is not the answer. You need a coach that has literally sat and technically worked through thousands of different players... that's who I want for my hitting coach.

What is Theriot’s involvement with traction? Doesn’t he give private lessons there? I saw it somewhere that Cabrera trained with Theriot throughout high school and the main reason he transferred to Parkview was to be closer to traction.
