quote:Well I had been under the impression that in a free society people should be able to purchase things—so long that they’re legal—from whomever they want for whatever reason they want without government intervening and artificially driving up prices.
Are you under the impression it's the responsibility of the American taxpayer to "prop up" another country ?
quote:I don’t pay for another country’s tariffs; it’s a tax on their citizens. I do pay for my country’s tarrif’s; it’s a tax on me.
When foreign countries end their tariffs against our products and we don't stop retaliatory tariffs , then and only then , will you globalists have a legitimate complaint.
So unless we aren’t allowed to complain about our taxes, then it’s as legitimate of a complaint as any other tax.

Think of any tariffs as a tax created by unions or regulatory laws which increase the cost of doing business in the US.
