Link to Arbor Day Foundation webpage for Red Buckeye
quote:

Yields fruit 1½–2" in diameter with a smooth or slightly pitted shell that encloses 1–3 dark brown seeds.
The "fruit" is kinda big. I have a hickory tree and the hickory nuts are a major nuisance.

Is the fruit/nuts dropped by the Red Buckeye a PITA, mild nuisance, or not an issue at all?

Red Buckeye is a pretty tree and I considered one for my backyard. Then I learned the seeds are poisonous to dogs, and didn’t want to risk it with my Lab knowing there are many good alternatives.
