Chromecast is great, but as I'm about to drop Dish for YouTubeTV, I want a remote

What is the absolute best streaming device with a physical remote?

I figure having a physical remote will be an easier transition for my wife and I'll move the Chromecast to the bedroom TV.

I'm a fan of the Roku Streaming Stick+ that I picked up for my wife. I don't have any experience with the Amazon devices, since up until recently they had their feud with Google. No clue if the recent change on their status with Youtube extended to YTTV?

I recently switched to YouTube TV and use an Nvidia Shield TV for my main TV and a Roku Streaming Stick+ for the bedroom TV. The Roku is a very good option for what you're looking for.

Get an OLED TV from LG. It has YouTubeTV as a native app and the LG Magic Remote gives you the option of (A) a cursor control just by moving the remote in your hand, (B) and scrolling wheel, and (C) Up-Down-Left-Right buttons.

Of course, the downside is at $2599 it's just a little more expensive than a Roku stick, so there's that.

I use the Nvidia Shield but it is a little pricey. Works very well though for YouTube TV and everything else streaming.

The Shield is the best of both worlds - it has a remote and with the built-in Chromecast you can cast to it.

My Apple TV 4K has been pretty awesome.

You want an Android TV. Specifically the Mi Box. It has a remote to work like a streaming box, while also having Chromecast capabilities (for whenever you just want to cast from your phone). I bought it with the intention of testing it and returning it, but I kept it. The box does have its issues out of the box (frame rate issues), but they are fixed through the settings menu.
