Once you see things in that vein you will see 8 seasons of build up to that moment and understand the decisions of D and D that the night king was a distraction and the big payoff is this.

They ended like 5 or 6 seasons or so with a “hero” shot of Dany that manipulated viewers into ignoring the crazy things she did to get there. It’s actually been pretty great storytelling IMO.

I dont Love everything about this season but I think it will age better with a full series rewatch

All of a sudden you’re questioning all the little fricked it tjings Danny does.

Not even 60 pages yet. Used to be we would be in the 80's or 90's by now.

Guess it shows how much the crap scriptwriting has turned off fans.

Didn't have a problem with most of the episode.

And actually a nod to the books knowing they’re done in point of view style with lots of unreliable narrators.

I’ll never agree with some of D&Ds decisions but you’ve done a decent job of explaining this particular one

The problem isn’t the prior 7 seasons. It’s the rush job of this season.

Otherwise I’m not bothered by the end result, just the terrible telling of it the last 5 episodes.
