Grinding Brake Sound

Have a 2012 GMC Sierra and the brakes are making a low pitch grinding/scraping sound that is worst when braking in a turn. I changed the pads and had a former mechanic check out the rotors and he said they were in good shape and didn't need to be filed down. That's about the extent of what I could come up with as far as the issue. What says the OB? TIA
